Anna A. Borba Elementary

About Us Home

About Us

Established in 1978, Anna Borba Elementary School was originally named as a Fundamental Elementary School in honor of Ms. Anna Borba who was pivotal in helping to create the fundamental school program in the Chino Valley Unified School District and also served as the school’s first principal. In 2009, Anna Borba Fundamental moved from its original location on the south side of Riverside Drive, between Monte Vista and Third Street to the former Gird campus across Riverside Drive.

Ms. Borba was a native Chinoan and former nun turned teacher. She joined the Chino Valley Unified School District in 1969 and remained with the District until she retired in 1985.

Our outstanding staff happily supports students in kindergarten through sixth grade and emphasize a culture that focuses on universal achievement and collaboration where all students THRIVE!
